We find Matt asleep in his car as he is dreaming about several years from now. He is an old man and Shauna and Heather are both catering to his every need. Heather and Shauna both decide to leave him since he still refuses to choose between them. He wakes up and finds Heather offering him a doughnut.Back at the church, everybody who was attending the wedding is in a state of disbelief that the bride simply ran out. Eric and Annie are also in denial and all of those attending refuse to leave so they will know what happens. Heather's mom and Annie hope Matt and Heather didn't run off to get married. Deena approaches Simon and tells her they need to talk - and Simon cracks and tells her about the kiss.
Jordan shows up at the church, and he tells Lucy that he and May have been dating. Lucy is hurt that her sister would do this to her and goes back inside the church. Meanwhile, Matt and Heather pull over to a phone so he can call and let everybody know they are OK. Eric asks if He and Heather are married and he says of course not. Then he calls up Shauna who gives him the riot act. She tells him she hates him but isn't mad at him. She tells him to drop dead then hangs up on him.
Julie and Hank arrive and tell Eric and Annie that they are getting married. Eric starts to laugh which surprises his sister and Hank. Eric says he can't wait for Hank to meet The Colonel. Eric then shakes his hand and welcomes him to the family and wishes him good luck.
Matt and Heather head back into town, and on the way Heather makes Matt pull over. Heather tells Matt she wants to marry him and she thought that he wanted to marry her too. Back at the house, Mary tries to talk to Lucy. She tells Lucy that Jordan and her are going to hang out downstairs and watch TV. Lucy is still upset, and calls Joe to come over. Outside, Simon asks Jordan if he has ever been Frenched Kissed. Simon says that he and Deena did, and she took him completely by surprise.
Matt and Heather arrive back at the church, and Heather tells her fiancé and everybody to leave her alone. Annie and Eric demand an explanation from Matt, but Matt races off to Shauna's to try and make up. When he gets to Shauna's, she opens the door then goes and grabs a full glass of water and throws it on him. She then slams the door in his face and then opens it again to throw out a towel.
Hank finds Eric and asks him to talk. He tells Eric that Julie needs Eric's blessing to marry Hank. Annie brings a young lady in to talk to Heather, and she tells Heather that she and Mason are more than just friends. Heather then goes to talk to Mason about Suzy. Mason still blames Matt for the break up, but he is caught in his own actions.
Matt calls Shauna from a phone booth and leaves a message on her machine. He tells Shauna that he loves Heather like a sister and that's why he broke up the wedding and he is so sorry he has hurt her. He tells Shauna that he really really loves her and realizes it's the first time and probably the last time he has ever told her that.
Eric talks to Julie about her and Hank. He tells her that he thinks that she broke up with Hank because she is scared that she will fall apart again and start drinking if anything ever went bad. Eric tells her she is a lot stronger than she thinks she is. Hank and Julie make up and decide to go right now and get married. The kids all congratulate them, and Annie asks Eric to just give in and marry them himself.
