We look around Eric and Annie's bedroom as Annie is inspecting the two cribs that are now placed in their room. From out of nowhere, Annie sees a vision of her mother who tells her that everything is going to be all right. We then see Annie's face close-up as she's lying in the hospital - it was just a dream. Eric is by her side and asks if she is OK and she silently nods.

Out in the waiting room, the kids are all sitting down waiting for some news. Inside, Eric and Annie survive another contraction. Eric says to focus on her focal point, a bunny, and Annie overcomes the contraction. Eric says that he has a feeling he forgot something at the house. Back at the house, Happy is.. well, happy to find the refrigerator door open and she helps herself to a big drumstick. Eric goes to talk to the kids and says it could be a while. Eric tells them not go anywhere, but as soon as he goes back to Annie, they all disappear. When the doctor comes into the birthing area, Annie says she doesn't want a C-section after all.

Mary goes to talk to Simon, who is adamant about the twins being boys so he can be the big brother. Ruthie goes to visit her mom and asks her mom why she was screaming. Annie tells Ruthie to go find Simon and to tell her daddy to come back in the room. Meanwhile, Lucy goes and looks through the window at the babies. Matt comes up behind her and the two talk about Lucy and Jordan. Simon heads to the hospital chapel and prays for the twins to be boys. Simon tells God that he loves all the women in the family, and says if the twins are girls, he will love them too - just make them safe. He recaps that he loves women, but he wants brothers.

Eric finds Dr. Hastings, who comes in and she tells him that she doesn't want a C-section. He tells her that he thinks she can deliver them naturally - but if anything happens he won't hesitate to do a C-section if he has to. He asks if she wants anything for the pain, and before he can get the words out she shouts "yes!"

Moments later, Annie is singing, obviously the drugs have kicked in. Ruthie tells Mary she never wants to have babies, she wants to be an astronaut. Mary tells her she can do both! Simon tells Matt he wants to be the big brother who teaches them everything Matt taught Simon - Simon wants to be just like Matt. Matt suddenly gets the strength from Simon to give blood and gives Simon a big hug. Back at the house, a cat has invaded the Camden house, as Happy lies on the couch eating food and watching TV. Happy looks at the cat, then goes back to her soap operas.

Dr. Hastings comes in and tells Annie and Eric that one of the babies has twisted position. He says after the first baby is born, he has to turn the second one into the proper position to deliver it. Eric asks Annie if she wants the C-section after all, but she says she is sure she wants to do it normally, even with the complication. Matt manages to give blood and is hogging all the cookies. Lucy is waiting for the pay phone when Mary asks what she's doing. Lucy tells her she is going to call Jordan to break up with him. Mary reminds Lucy it's Valentine's Day.

Back at the house again, not only is there a cat in the house, but pigeons, a squirrel, a rabbit and a skunk have all made themselves at home. But Happy just goes to the fridge and picks her next feast. Lucy calls Jordan and breaks the news to him. Simon is still in the church when he hears a voice - it's Matt messing with his head. Dr. Hastings tells her she's ready and asks her to do a little pushing and start delivering the babies. He tells her the first baby is crowning, and tells her to go for the big push. The first twin comes into the world. The second baby's heartbeat starts dropping, and Dr. Hastings needs to get it out. Dr. Hastings begins rotating the baby, and tells Annie to relax and breathe in. Eric goes out to talk to the kids, he tells them they have a new baby - not babies - and everybody is worried. Eric goes back in the room and Dr. Hastings tells her to give another big push. The second twin arrives, and the delivery room breaks into applause.

The kitchen is totally trashed, thanks to Happy's house guests. Happy herself is full and passed out on the couch. The entire family goes into the delivery room and they are introduced to David and Samuel - their new brothers. Simon thanks God, and everybody is all smiles. They all break into the Camden traditional song "Who can turn the world on with her smile? Who can take a nothing day and suddenly make it feel worthwhile…" - The Mary Tyler Moore show. We see a flashback of a little Matt around three years old, with Annie's mother.
